First Day!

I finally found time to start my project! In between catching up for my MBA class I started my wedding card album today!! I started with an empty album and a bunch of new supplies. What's sad is that new scrapbooking supplies give me goosebumps! I found a fun black and white pack that has stickers, cut-outs, alphabet letters, and lots of antique papers. I think it ran me about $15 at Wal-Mart.

Here's what I started with. About 60+ cards and an empty album.

Here's the album I decided on. It's much smaller than my normal albums. I normally use a 12 by 12 album with plastic coverings to protect the pages. I was looking for something a bit different for this project. I went with a smaller 8 by 8 with no plastic coverings. I might end up adding them later to protect my work, but for now...here's where it stands.

I thought about leaving the cover blank, but decided it needed some work. I did go a tad overboard, but it still ended up okay. I used black, pink, and gray stickers to add some color to the page. The white hearts and flowers are puff up cut-outs from my book. I also used the see-through black and white paper to put behind the picture to make it stand out.

Here's page two. I did a little less on this one and went for the simple approach. I took one of my favorite wedding pictures and framed it. Then added vintage alphabet stickers to fill out the page.

On this page I used the gray and white vintage paper for the background. I cropped the handwriting page and rounded the corners to give it a more sophisticated look. In the right hand corner I used stickers and puff-up stickers to add in some color. I then took one of the sayings from the left side of the card and pasted it over a black cut-out to fill in the space.

I used two different cut-outs of the black and white paper for this page. I cropped the yellow card because it was just too big. I added the family sticker and the butterfly cut-out to give a circle/square illusion, which someday I'll explain on here.

On this page I used both black and gray papers and gave them a cross pattern. I cropped the front and handwriting pages and then added in some decorative detail. I LOVE the black block letters too.

Here are the first five or six pages from my album. Stay tuned as I add some more!
